Live at the Bluebird Theater

The Legend of Bo Tim - Jeff Cramer

The Fighting - Jeff Cramer

  • Jeff Cramer is a Colorado-based singer-songwriter whose music blends vivid storytelling with Americana roots and layered, cinematic textures. Following the release of his acclaimed studio album Forever Morning, Jeff returns with his first full-length live album, Live at the Bluebird—a raw, heartfelt document of a packed hometown show in Denver. Captured with just one rehearsal under their belt, the band—featuring Denver music veterans Dave Devine (gold-top Les Paul electric), Emma Rose (bass and harmonies), and Tyler Lindgren (drums, mixing, and mastering)—turned in a set that pulsed with grit, warmth, and connection. It was a night shared with local icons Megan Burtt and Hunter James, and one where the energy in the room met the music with equal force. The full set is now available on Spotify and YouTube, offering listeners a hit of that elusive live-record magic.

Live at the Bluebird arrives on the heels of Jeff’s most ambitious work to date, Forever Morning—a 16-track journey written and recorded entirely in Colorado over two years. Produced by Andrew Berlin (Gregory Alan Isakov) at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Forever Morning began with no clear destination—just scattered sessions carved out over time. What emerged was a sweeping, three-part release that winds through mystical mountain passes, coastal catacombs, desert railroads, and the deep interior of the heart. It features an all-Colorado cast: Emma Rose (Sound of Honey), Max Barcelow (Gregory Alan Isakov), Charlie Rose (Elephant Revival), Dave Devine, Russick Smith and Eve Panning (Big Richard), and Jon Estes (Abigail Washburn), with Jeff on vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, piano, and even water bucket.

Before these back-to-back releases, Jeff gained national attention with The Shed Sessions video series and his debut record Northern 45, recorded in Nashville to analog tape with Grammy-winning players. Northern 45 features guest appearances from Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit), Jeremy Fetzer (Steelism), Spencer Cullum Jr. (Miranda Lambert), and Molly Parden. His songwriting has twice earned him finalist honors at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s Troubadour Contest and coverage in PopMatters, Glide Magazine, and The Bluegrass Situation.

Jeff’s musical influences range from the ambient work of Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois to the bare honesty of Townes Van Zandt, the live electricity of Live Rust, Stop Making Sense, and Live at Fillmore East, to the songwriting craft of Jason Isbell and Adrianne Lenker. He’s equally at home with a pen in hand as he is with a guitar—whether that’s at a sunny café, on a new singletrack trail, or in his Denver backyard where the Shed Sessions were born.

When not making music, Jeff is also a leading advocate in the clean energy movement, where he serves as a nonprofit executive focused on solar power and environmental solutions.

Jeff Cramer Releases New Live Album: Live at the Bluebird – Out April 18

Denver, CO – March 12, 2025 – Colorado Singer-songwriter Jeff Cramer announces the release of Live at the Bluebird, a powerful and intimate new live album arriving today, April 18 on all streaming platforms, with full video available on YouTube. Captured at Denver’s historic Bluebird Theater in front of a packed crowd, the record bottles the unfiltered magic of a one-night-only performance—raw, reverent, and full of heart.

“I’ve always dreamed of releasing a live record,” says Cramer. “As a kid, it was live albums that made me fall in love with music—the ones that made the band feel human, close, like maybe you could be there… or even do that yourself.”

The album was recorded during the release concert for Cramer’s 2024 studio album Forever Morning, a 16-track odyssey crafted entirely in Colorado and hailed for its sweeping emotional terrain and lush sonic landscapes.

Live at the Bluebird picks up where that record left off, reimagining key songs with a crack band of Denver greats: Dave Devine on electric guitar, Emma Rose on bass and harmonies, and Tyler Lindgren on drums, mixing, and mastering. With just a single rehearsal behind them, the trio delivered a set marked by spontaneity, chemistry, and electricity—brought vividly to life by producer John McVey and photographer/designer Erik Fellenstein.

Cramer shared the stage that night with celebrated songwriters Megan Burtt and Hunter James & The Titanic, making the evening a true celebration of Colorado’s thriving independent music scene.

Inspired by iconic live albums like Live at Fillmore East, Live Rust, MTV Unplugged, and Stop Making Sense, Cramer’s Live at the Bluebird is a love letter to the timeless art of the live record. At a time when music consumption often skews toward singles and screens, Cramer set out to create something real, unfiltered, and built to last.

Live at the Bluebird is available everywhere April 18.
